Portfolio of Works

Many of my paintings start with a trip. A trip to another country, a state, or a city. As ideas and inspirations percolate in my mind, they eventually turn into paintings. This is a collection of my available oil paintings, which also include animals, florals, still lifes, and detail copies of my favorite great masters.

These are my available watercolor paintings. My artistic journey started with watercolor 30 years ago and I still have a soft spot for this enchanting medium. The paintings I share here are recent. They include many genres: cityscapes, landscapes, animals, florals, still lifes, and portraits/figures.

Of all the painting subjects under the sun, I find portraits and figures the most challenging and rewarding.  In particular, I love painting children.  Capture their youthful beauty and innocence before they grow up!  I can also paint special moments from your wedding and vow renewal and other double portraits. Recently I have had a lot of fun painting humans and their dogs. The possibilities are endless!  My beautiful portraits have brought tears of joy to my clients.  They also make perfect presents for birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays.

I have a large body of animal paintings, from birds to zebras.  Email me the pictures of your pets if you want me to paint their portraits for you!

I find beauty in all places--in the neighborhoods, cities, beaches, and countryside.  My goal is to transform what I saw into a work of art that takes the viewer into an enchanted, peaceful place.  Take a journey with me.

As I live near Washington, DC, I enjoy painting famous landmarks in and around the city.  Some of the paintings in the collection were painted on location; others in my studio.

I love flowers and enjoy painting them in their natural enviroment, that is, in garden. Food?  I enjoy painting and eating it!

Before I discovered oil, I used to be a watercolorist.  I've been told that my watercolors are gorgeous.  Enjoy!
