The sun is setting at the Champs de Mars. People are gathered to watch the Eiffel Tower to come alive with the lights. What a way to end the day in Paris! I used the pointillist method of adding dots over a watercolor painting to create a feeling of enchantment.
You wouldn't believe how crowded it was with the tourists (do Parisians come here?) who came prepared with blankets and the equal number of hawkers who sold trinkets and champagnes and made themselves a nuisance. But art transcends reality and in my painting all is tranquil and serene, not a soul around!
The painting size is 12" x 9". Signed on front. You will have to get the painting matted and framed for presentation and conservation.
