The sample painting for the Week 9 lesson of my "Watercolor Portraits" in fall 2021 (my online Zoom class with the Art League School in Alexandria, VA). The lesson was about painting a double portrait. For the full description of the class, please check out my blog post.
"Happy Days" is a portrait of myself and my daughter when she was nine years old. We were traveling in California for a family wedding and had a most wonderful vacation. I painted it for my Family Memory Album Project of my Watercolor Portraits class. The idea is that we put together family pictures and work from them. You have enough of these portraits, you have a hand-painted album!
The painting size is 8" x 10"; signed on front.
The watercolor painting is on Arches 140 lb cold press paper.
