Located mere footsteps from the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, the 17th-century Protestant church, Westerkerk, is visible from afar, thanks to the much admired 275 ft-high tower which dominates above most of the Old City center. As I was sitting across the canal at a bar sipping a cool drink, the late afternoon sun set the tower ablaze. What a view!
We were lucky to have a string of sunny days during the trip and the afternoons when we visited the Jordaan district were no exceptions. Hence, a numerous exceptional reference photos that resulted in several paintings. Squeezing in all those buildings and windows along with the canals and reflections in such a small painting, practically a miniature, is no mean achievement. All in the name of providing the buyer with a quintessential Amsterdam view on a summer day on an affordable budget!
The painting size is 8" x 6". Signed on front; varnished. The painting is framed in a beautiful, antique gold, wooden frame and ready to hang for your pleasure. The framed size is 11.25" x 9.25".
