The Medici Fountain (la fontaine Médicis) is a monumental fountain in the Luxembourg Garden in the 6th arrondissement in Paris. It was built in about 1630 by Marie de' Medici, the widow of King Henry IV of France and regent of King Louis VIII of France. It was moved to its present location and extensively rebuilt in 1864-66.

I visited the famous fountain in late summer on an overcast day. In the painting I tried to capture the magical serenity of the place. There are many fountains in Paris but, for me, this is the most beautiful and memorable one. Tucked away in a busy public garden, you can always find there peace and tranquility.

The painting size is 10" x 8". Signed on front; varnished. The painting is framed in a beautiful antique gold, wooden frame and ready to hang for your pleasure. The framed size is 13 1/4" x 11 1/4".

I used to sell my oil paintings unframed at a lower price. Then I realized most collectors don't ever get them framed. Alas, a painting looks so much better when framed and it's important for its safe preservation.  In return for a higher shipping tag, I spare you from the high cost and hassle of framing job. All you have to do is find a perfect spot for the painting!

Oil on oil-primed Belgian linen on Baltic birch panel. The painting is mounted on the panel with archival glue. In other words, I have used a top quality material, which guarantees a long-term preservation of the painting.
