My husband and I had been to Chaco Culture National Historic Park in New Mexico many years ago, and I wanted to show this awesome place to my daughter, who was interested in archeology. I painted at Una Vita while they visited some sites. Apparently, I had set up my easel over an ant hole. Huge black ants soon crawled all over my feet, my art gear--just everywhere. I got stung, so I moved. They followed me, swarming all around, biting, hurting. What an experience!
The painting size is 8" x 10". Signed on front; varnished. The painting is framed in a beautiful, antique gold, wooden frame. The framed size is 11.5" x 13.5".
Oil on oil-primed linen on board. The painting is mounted on gatorboard (a lightweight archival board) with archival glue.
